I am a social scientist working at the intersections of gender, aging, and health, with broader interests in political participation, public policy, and social inequalities.
My sociological research examines how social and structural factors shape aging trajectories and health outcomes. In political science, I study political participation, gender quotas, and policies addressing gender-based violence. My research focuses on Canada, the United States, Kosovo, Western Balkans and a global comparative contexts.
I am currently a Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, and hold two doctoral degrees: a Ph.D. in Sociology from Western University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from St. Cyril & Methodius University.
Beyond academia, I bring over a decade of experience in research development, project management, and public policy. I have worked with organizations such as the Council of Europe, USAID, and the Swiss Development Agency on projects advancing human rights, gender equality, democratization, and the prevention of gender-based violence.
My work is driven by a commitment to advancing social justice and evidence informed policy that improves lives across the life course.
